The correct answer depends on what you mean.
The difference of 20 and a number ... divided by 2 .. is (20  X) / 2
or
The difference of 20 and ... a number divided by 2 .. is 20  (X/2)

"difference" means subtraction so I would say: x20 / 2 but I don't know, that's what google says.
