supposing that you are using the English alphabet  the chance of guessing the first letter is 1 in 26
if you have no other information, the chance of guessing the second letter is also 1 in 26  1 in 676
there are caveats. you could assume that  if the first letter is a consonant, the second would most likely be a vowel, which would cut the odds down to 1/26 x 1/5 = 1 in 130
and the greater the amount of information you had at the start, the greater the chance of getting the right answer.
this is why simple passwords are 'relatively' easily broken by a computer
they use a set of logical steps which will shorten the odds dramatically

Depends on the alphabet you use. English, it is (1/26)(1/26) = 1/676
The Hungarian alphabet has 44 letters, so it would be (1/44)(1/44) = 1/1936
Although in both alphabets, certain combinations are unlikely, which increases the probability. For example, ZZ is not possible. But the rules for that are very complicated.
