Think of this as a cone, with lines touching the edge of the intersection and meeting at the center of the sphere.
A cone has a pretty simple crosssection. It's a triangle. So we have a triangle with a height of 6 and a base of 16. We can use Pythagorean's theorem to find the radius of the sphere
8^2 + 6^2 = s^2
100 = s^2
10 = s
The sphere has a radius of 10
