If roots of quadratic equation ax^2 + bx + c = 0 are equal then discriminant b^2 4ac = 0 OR b^2= 4ac
so according to question a = 3 , b = 5 , c = q
so b^2 = 4ac
(5)^2 = 4(3)(q)
q = 25/12

For equal roots b² = 4ac
25 = 12 q
q = 25/12
