Entropy is a measure of chaos, of the degree of disorder. The higher the entropy, the more disordered, the messier things are. Your bedroom, for example, is likely in a high entropy state of being, while your parents' room is relatively low entropy. [That was my input, sorry.]
Humpty Dumpty before the great fall was low entropy. You can tell he was at low entropy because the slightest crack or variation on his pristine, smooth white shell would be noticed by any outsider. And that's the nature of low entropy. When it's easy to see that something's been changed, that's low entropy.
Afterward, with all those innards and shell bits lying all about, that was high entropy and all the King's men could not reassemble HD and return him back to his low entropy state. The King's troops kept shuffling the innards and shell bits around, trying to get HD back together, but all that shuffling just kept ending up with no change in the mess...the remains still looked to be in disorder And that's the nature of high entropy. No matter how or how much things are moved around, it still looks like a mess from the outside.
Which is why our universe is a net increasing entropy system...the Second Law of Thermo. It keeps getting messier over time and cannot be reassembled and returned to a lower entropy state. Energy that was once useful can no longer be corralled and used because it's in total chaos. In fact, our universe was in its highest state of order, the lowest entropy, at the moment of the big bang. And it's been going downhill every since, to a chaotic state we designate as high entropy.

For any closed system in a surrounding with temperature T. If that system is to do useful work by thermal energy, then that system must pay a tax in thermal units, say, joules or btu's, to the surroundings. That amount of heat is the entropy.It depends on the surrounding temperature, so if the surroundings temperature is high the entropy is high, if lower the tax,entropy, is lower! Answer 2 above is not correct! Enthalpy for the system above is the sum of the useful thermal work mentioned and the tax paid;i.e. the entropy.

Entropy is simple. A red hot needle is much hotter than a pound of lead at 100 degrees. But the lead contains more joules of heat than the needle. Is there a single number that can describe both? Yes. Entropy is just the amount of heat divided by the temperature. There is one catch  the heat has to be provided reversibly, but this is just a fancy way of saying no cheating allowed. Enthalpy is a way of combining specific heat, latent heat of vaporisation, and latent heat of fusion into a single number. The catch here is that it is a property of flowing fluids, but this never seems to cause any difficulty in practice. Both entropy and enthalpy are useful in thermodynamic calculations, because they greatly reduce the number of variables being considered.

oi!!!!!!!!!!!!! enthropy babe, is the possibilities of randomness, it s hard to calculate tho because it s uncertain because it s tinier than microscopic vision, maybe even tinier than nothingness it s almost unpredictable. entropy is like the downfall of all the energy where it cannot go back to the start or do loop!!!!!! so energy is like how much long can you move and we have limits, resting is the way we can restore the lost energy. but in entropy the number of possibilities that you rape a girl for example, she wont like it she will probably be irritated with disgust and you can never lessen the mess you did, she can never ever trust you ;3 you can just make lots and lots of possibilities of corrupting her mind more, if you re creative enough like me i guess. <3 hope this helps, i jsut looked it up today and this is how i understand entropy, it s simple enough if you have strong common sense babe. enjoy your life and always remember to take care and avoid to make higher enthopy in your life if you can. :*

i know its the second law of thermodynamics and I've read about it and watched a few video's but I still dont really get it :(
can anyone explain it to me in simple everyday terminology?
