which food group are needed for muscle?

    Proteins are key, but all are needed for good general health, which helps a body build and maintain muscle.

    Primarily proteins,  specifically the proteins that the liver cannot manufacture called the essential amino acids. 

    Meat,  dairy, etc.

    Plant wise,  legumes are the best bet for a poor choice.   Your morals cannot alter your DNA.

    At least not yet.

    Proteins mainly but carbs and fats help as well as far as energy for your workouts and hormonal balance.  You also need to be lifting heavy 4-6 days a week if possible...
