Should the UK follow Switzerland's example and ban the wearing of the burka in public?

Why is this here?
No. That law is based on the assumption that male Muslims are the only enforcers of the burqa, which is quite misandrist and Islamophobic. Many female Muslims choose to don it for various reasons, and it does prevent people being judged by their appearance. It can be a feminist statement. A stereotypical radfem dyke in overalls with a buzzcut and a Muslim woman in a burqa can have a lot in common image-wise.

No, that is prejudiced. Most Muslims are not terrorists and disapprove of Islamic extremism as much as the rest of us...

I would ban Americans from wearing anything which resembles the stars and stripes.
After all, Uncle $am is a notorious racist, and his teachings, such as they are, bring nothing but misery.

I agree that would be a great idea. It is also not racism. That is nonsense. Racism is if you generalize all or most individuals of a group and then insinuate that they have negative characteristics. Otherwise most Islamic countries can be regarded as racist.

This Burka bane Rule is actually more than racism. If you don't respect others religion and beliefs then, how can you expect others to respect yours.
