What does old German 'tatgenoffen' mean?

I am reading an old German document from WW2 with information about the captivity of my grandfather. There is a word "Tatgenoffen:" followed by a few names. What does this mean? See the picture. Thanks!

    It should be transcripted as  "Tatgenossen" and means "comrades in action".
