After the French Revolution, citizens were expected to be loyal to: who??
- EntropyLv 72 months ago
To "The Revolution". And this loyalty had to be absolute and radical, or you risked being killed for being an enemy of the revolution. This is the very root of what became known as "The Terror". Even the radicals who were executing people for merely wondering if they'd gone to far were eventually executed for being enemies of the Revolution.
