aproximately, what is the caloric efficiency of someone riding a bike?
as in, if someone manages to exert 100 watthours on a bike, roughly what would that equate to in terms of chemical input?
ive heard mixed values that range from 8-30 percent efficiency. but those are based on averaging human muscles overall, and no sources are ever given. the values also vary based on fitness, the more fit someone is, the higher the efficiency gets, and the efficiency rises inconsistently.

Efficiency is also going to depend on a few variables you neglected. Such as the bike itself and the tires. Also road and weather conditions.
A recumbent bike is going to yield different results than a mountain bike. As well as using a different set of muscles.
