PHYSICS ASAP?!(11)?

When a mass of 25 g is attached to a certain

spring, it makes 16 complete vibrations in

4.5 s.

What is the spring constant of the spring?

    16 rev / 4.5 s = 3.56 rev/s

    f = (1/2π)√(k/M) = 3.56

    (1/2π)√(k/0.025) = 3.56

    √(k/0.025) = 22.34

    k/0.025 = 499.1

    k = 12.48 N/m

    Springs and weight

    k = F/d

     k is spring constant in N/m

     F is force and d is deflection

    ω = √(k/M)

    f = (1/2π)√(k/M)

    T = 1/f = 2π√(M/k)

     T is period in seconds

     ω is angular frequency of bounce

     f is frequency in Hz

     ω = 2πf

     M is mass in kg

    PE = ½kd²
