You have a 0.300 M solution of MgI2 and a 0.500 M solution HClO4 separated by a semipermeable membrane.?

 Which direction will the net flow of water be?

    Because semipermeable membranes are permeable to water but not solutes, water tends to move into cells that are hypertonic to their environment, while water moves out of cells that are hypotonic .

    So the water flows from the MgI2 solution to the HClO4
