Sunak has announced 8 new Freeports thanks to being free of the EU to increase trade, investment and jobs. Doesn't it proves Brexit right?

Yes it does. The best thing we did was get out of the EU.

The UK could create freeports as a member of the EU and has previously had several, including Liverpool, Southampton, the Port of Tilbury and Glasgow Prestwick Airport but the legislation governing them lapsed. The net increase is about one additional port.

The EU already has over 80 freeports which we've just recently lost access to. Can you tell us in your own words what freeports actually are and why you think they're a good thing?

Ill take that as a "no".

Freeports were possible under the EU

    Other EU countries have freeports

We had 5 freeports in the UK - until 2012, when the government decided to let the licences expire

I dont suppose the average brexiteer could name one single benefit or feature of a freeport, without some serious googling.... but it sounds good, doesn't it..... 'Free'
