Jesus said, "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?" (Matthew 23:33). He called people names and threatened them with torture. He also whipped people.

Obviously not.
3699, lying about atheists, threatening them and insulting them can hardly be considered 'spreading the gospel' unless you have some Bible that isn't available to the rest of the world. Don't try to justify your hateful behavior that way.

Sounds more like these so-called offended people become offended at the preaching of the gospel because of their own guilty conscience.
Better you clean up your own backyard before worrying about Christians as you sound like a total bigot.

Christians are no more guilty than any other group or people. They're not gods but are as human as Muslims and Jews, Agnostics or Atheists. Nobody's perfect, you'll find flaws in every person and therefor in every group/religion.

Depends upon which sect: I was raised in the Lutheran church and therefore feel guilty about everything.
