Why do the British still support the monarchy?

It’s archaic. Monarchy belongs in the history books and museums. Not in modern society.

As an American, it’s strange to think there are still kings and queens around. We don’t answer to anyone, the government works for us.

Monarchies will outlast the USA... lol.

You can take that to the bank.

The US will be a third world country like Brazil in 30 years due to demographics and probably not even exist as a country anymore by the end of the century. It will balkanize into two or multiple sovereign countries as the various groups inevitably go their own ways. You probably can't imagine that, but I doubt anyone in Soviet Russia circa 1962 thought the USSR would be gone in 30 years.

Science and reality has refuted the enlightenment values which the US was founded upon. Not All Men Were Created Equally.

A human being is not a blank slate.... most of what you are, including your intelligence and likelihood of success in life, is determined by your genes.

It's a failed social experiment that enjoyed a flashbulb of success (a century as the superpower, which is not long compared to great empires/powers of the past)

8 of the world's top 10 countries are constitutional monarchies.  Why?  Because it works - and works better than other systems.  Many Americans don't seem to be able to understand that.  Just look at Canada though - it's a great country, and has a Queen.  Just like the Brits do, and a host of other countries.

The British Monarchy has nothing to do with government, the Queen is the Head of State but has no real power. The head of the government is the Prime Minister. In the 69 years Britain, Australia, Canada etc have had one head of state, the Queen, the USA has had fourteen Presidents. Britain has had fifteen Prime Ministers as has Australia during that period but one head of state. The monarchy represents continuation and tradition
