Does Walmart have to know if an employee gets a Misdemeanor DUI? ?

I was arrested for DUI last June. I was going to tell them but my lawyer said that Walmart doesn’t have to know because I don’t have a contract with them, I don’t drive for them and because it’s just a misdemeanor but I’m still worried. Does anyone know if I have to tell them?

    There is no law that says you have to inform your employer
