Which car is better on a Muddy road, a Suzuki Lj 80 or a Toyota RAV4?

The Suzuki is an actual truck with a 4 Wheel Drive System; The RAV4 is a car based SUV aka crossover with a pretty capable All Wheel Drive System. That Suzuki was built for tough terrains. It will run circles around the RAV4 in that situation.

AUDI QUATTRO TURBO or SUBARU OUTBACK! The RAC4 is GREATLY improved in handling and steering over the first edition, but the AUDI and SUBARU are more high tech and have RADAR to avoid accidents! I did NOT LIKE driving the ORIGINAL TOYOTA< but I deep down inside compare nearly ALL CARS to the AUDI< that is one of the best out there!  I used to say that a USED AUDI is better than a BRAND NEW anything! They do NOT rust and last for thirty YEARS if you understand them !Only the newer MUSTANGS have tried to copy the DOUBLE CONTROL ARM Audi that contributes to the UNREAL handing and SAFE FEEL of the AUDI! The suspension are SPRUNG unlike the SUZUKI that is STRAIGHT UP VERTICAL! This makes them feel UNCONTROLLED on bad roads! The TOYOTA is the same way, unless something has CHANGED! I was in a CHRYSLER MINI the other day and it was SWAYING all over the road! The REAR section was quite NOISY as well!  What does it TAKE to get things 100% RIGHT??  the BMWs have AWESOME suspension and handling as well! the TWIN TURBO FOUR BANGER x# is AWESOME as is the TWIN TURBO straight SIX! And they are GREAT USED where you save big BUCKAROOS! SUZUKI is NOT known particularly for their TECHNOLOGY! HAPPY HUNGING try CAR.COM and CARGURUS for GREAT used SUBARUIS and AUDIS and BMW cars and SUVS!  Try a test drive of a FORD EDGE or FORD ESCAPE! They use mostly GERMAN TRANNIES and GERMAN tech in ALL their cars now! The HANDLING is EXCELLENT and the road fell is, too! SUZUKI kinda SUCKSUKI!

Do you mean a normal road made slippery with some mud, or a rough muddy track?

If it’s just a slippery tarmac road , the RAV4 wins. It has on demand AWD so when the front wheels slip, the rear will come into play.

The 4WD system on the LJ 80 is manual , by the time you think you need it , you’ll be facing  the wrong way.

Off road however,All things being equal , the LJ80 wins because it’s a proper 4wd where the RAV4 is 2wd with on demand AWD.That being said, the proper tyres for off roading will also make a big difference.The RAV4 as standard will have road tyres that will be useless off road.

get the toyota , much more reliable then the others .but there not designed for going into the bush or rough terrain .

the Jimmy with out a doubt its got a real transfer case the rav is all wheel drive the suzuki is 4 wheel drive with more ground clearance
