Can a warrant officer be my first salute?

So I will be commissioning soon as a 2lt, for my first salute my first option is my father, who was an E8 after 20 yrs, the only problem is he became a warrant after that.  I know traditionally the first salute was done by an NCO, but is there anything specifically barring a CWO from being my first salute?  It's something we planned on for a while.

Your first salute can be anyone.  Even a Warrant.
