    A fundraiser is any event where you collect money for attending or where you sell things. So you have a talent show and sell tickets to attend. You have a bake sale and sell cupcakes for money. In my day kids in schools sold chocolate bars, pecans, and oranges at Christmas. Anything that collects money is a fundraiser.

    Fund raiser is an event to make money. in schools the kids will put on a talent show.  Admission will be charged.  That's how the.money is raised.

    Fund raisers are more like bake sales, not talent shows.
