potassium sulfite = K2SO3
K2 = 78.1966 g/mol
S = 32.065 g/mol
K2SO3 = 158.2598 g/mol
(78.1966 g/mol) / (158.2598 g/mol) = 0.49410 = 49.410% K by mass
(32.065 g/mol) / (158.2598 g/mol) = 0.20261 = 20.261% S by mass
100% total - 49.4103% K - 20.261% S = 30.329% O by mass
