No it's not a bad website. In fact it's a vey useful and popular site. It's similar to yahoo answers and Quora. You can ask any question there posting a reddit in reddit category similar to your questions and also answer other peoples questions to help them too.

Reddit isn't a "bad" website. You'd just consider it as any other "question & answer sites" like quora or yahoo answers. But the only difference is that its a bit more like social media, because you can also make post in oppose to you just asking/answering questions.
