Special operations ?

We all love action movies where the military hero sneaks around using gadgets, infiltrating buildings or a military base, killing soldiers as he moves along, undetected...but is there really a military unit or special operatives that can infiltrate military bases/ locations without being detected? It seems unlikely these days with the technology available.

Unless of course some sort of stealth cloaking tech is in use that we have no idea about? Or is this just Hollywood fantasy?

There are units that specialize in infiltrating otherwise secure locations.

What is depicted in movies does tend to make it appear far easier than reality.

Note: More reliance on tech actually makes it easier to avoid detection. The capability of the security system can be predicted more accurately than human guards.

We had Special Ops in Iraq picking out targets for Desert Storm months before the operation. You can bet they are in Iran now.
