Physics Question?

A room is at standard temperature and pressure. 

a) What wavelength does a 1.5 million Hz ultrasound passes through human tissue? b) How many waves are passing through the human tissue in 1 second? 

c) The ultrasound session last 1 minute. How many waves passed through the human tissue during this timeframe? 

d) Which example best describes this type of wave -- water, light, spring, sound, sonic boom, pulse, pulse wave packet?

 Explain your answer.

    speed of sound at 0º is s = 331.3 m/s

    λf = s

    λ = s/f = 331.3/1.5e6 = 0.0002209 m

    1.5e6 Hz means 1.5e6 waves per second

    1.5e6 waves/s x 60s = 9e9 waves (9 billion)
