Native English speakers, could you please help me with these issues?

1. Do these sentences make sense:

a) "I raised my eyes to see the exotic bird."

b)  "I lifted my eyes to see the exotic bird."

2. And how about these ones:

a) "I raised my head to see the exotic bird."

b) "I lifted my head to see the exotic bird."

    All 4 sentences make sense, but the first two versions sound more natural.

    Both 2a) and 2b) are better than 1a) & 1b)

    1a) & 1b) would better as - "I looked up to see the exotic bird"
