It's certainly removed that as a consideration in such cases.

And it's also told every British citizen that their citizenship means nothing, because the state will just cancel it and render its citizens stateless when convenient.

How long before we're in uproar because another country cancels the citizenship of one of their citizens, who's committed a crime in UK, so he/she can't be deported back?

Shamima Begum is not relevant in this case. The UK Supreme Court has made a political decision, in contravention of International Law, which cheapens its position in the world; and puts any British citizen at risk of being illegally made stateless.

It's worth noting that the government didn't choose to remove citizenship from Gary Glitter, preferring to bring him home to face justice.

Only the thickest of the dim could read this as supporting Muslim terrorists.

Unlike Dianne, I want to see this woman where she belongs - in the dock, at the Old Bailey, facing criminal charges for her actions. Dianne is happy for her to walk away, scot free, potentially changing her identity, entering UK and participating in further terrorist acts.

No, yet it has actually recovered faith in the criminal justice system. It does not legitimize the tasks of those that brush foolish people, however that is a different issue; the choice switched on the reality that she did not demonstrate legitimate regret for her stupid-ness.

    She wanted out!

She got to Syria! Life turned sour. Now oops. She's recovered her "brains".

So she thought bombing, killing etc would be exciting!

    Playing grown up. Marriage. Breeding.

But now she's on the receiving end of what her companions wanted to dish out, she's had a change of heart.

    Interesting.

A mass pity all those on the receiving end of her companions abuse cannot be made undead, their lives restored to before the killing spree.

Maybe next time some dimwit decides war is oh So much fun, they'll remember her!

And not indulge the fantasies of the people governing wanting to overthrow regimes overseas.  Thinking if things go awry seeing as they encouraged it nothing can go wrong.

As for being groomed, she at least had a choice to be wilfully stupid.

She wanted to play at being grown up.

    Now she's got her wish.

    Consequences.

Since when have those higher up the food chain ever been done for child grooming?

    Thatcher stayed stump. Leverage!

Epstein had a global network. Anyone who was important shimmed at his "parties". From royalty, to presidents, heads of state!

So where ARE those famous (infamous) names?

Seriously Epstein ran an efficient global network - and no agency noticed? Prosecuted?

    Leverage! Connections!

Shamima Begum was born in London.

Fact. If that makes the usual Mail reader upset - then so be it.

She was an accomplice to mass rape.  She was also a guard and an enforcer in the prison camps.   Like these two, who we hanged after the war:

Shamima Begum was not born in Britain.

    Gary Glitter was!

That is why he was brought back here.

As for Begum, she was old enough to make her way there to Syria, said that she wanted to be a Jihadi bride and stood and cheered as victims of her husband and his mates were decapitated!

Good riddance to her and any others who have similar inclinations!

She forfeited her rights under joining ISIS

    May she rot in hell.

I don't know where you connect terrorism and child grooming from the supreme court decision.

Quite obvious you have a distorted liberal view.

No and thank goodness the Supreme Court has some common sense.
