A pendulum on earth has a period of 1.82 s. what is it’s period on Mars? g=3.71 m/s^2
- oubaasLv 72 months agoFavorite Answer
on Earth (ge = 9.806 m/sec^2)
Te = k/√ge
on Mars (gm = 3.71m/sec^2)
Tm = k/√gm
Tm/Te = (k/√gm) * (√ge /k) = √ge/gm = √9.806/3.71 = 1.626
Tm = Te*1.626 = 1.82*1.626 = 2.96 sec
