Why is Home Office so strict? You don't even get a refund if Leave to Remain application fail... ?

So sad that being granted Citizenship is now a business instead of an award. Cos of the exorbitant document fees that always expire as well and providing them excess profits.

You paid for the processing and you got the processing. It takes just as long to comb over your application and deny it as it does to comb over your application and accept it.

They are required by the law to adhere to the immigration rules/laws and the criteria set....... you are not 'buying' LTR you are paying for your application to be assessed and that means people doing their job and getting wages to do that job...... if you want to apply you need to pay, don't expect UK citizens to pay or subsidise you

You did not pay the home office for a guarantee of leave to remain.

You paid them to evaluate your application. They did that and found that you don't qualify. They did what you paid them to do. And they can't be expected to evaluate applications for free (actually, nothing is ever free.) If there was no fee to evaluate your application, the taxpayers would be paying for you to apply for leave to remain in their country. Why should they pay for that?
