How did Andrew Johnson's plans to reincorporate states into the union compare with Lincoln's?

a) Lincoln wished to impose severe conditions for readmission, but Johnsons was far more lenient

    I think B. However, if they wanted to impose "strict conditions" to allow the states to reenter the union, why did they oppose them seceding in the first place? Was there something in the constitution that declared that any state that freely entered the union could not also freely leave the union?
