Why would people buy antiques off eBay when alot of dealers say their website shop is cheaper than their ebay shop/account ?

It's just the percentage ebay charges you to sell. If you go direct to the website, they don't have to pay it and can offer a lower price. The catch is you don't get ebay buyers protection, so if they take your money and don't send you the item you have a harder time getting your money back.
