Is the Korean language very different from Chinese or is it similar or related?

Korean is a language isolate, so it's not related to any other language. The only link with China is that Korean borrowed many words from written Chinese, and sometimes still uses Chinese characters for a few limited uses.

It's not related to Chinese at all. Chinese uses Kanji. Korean has nothing to do with those, it uses Hangul ( Korean alphabet)
