People who judge are people who make a lot of assumptions about things they don't know based on their past experience and what they've learned so far. Judgement also is closely linked to being close-minded. When you harshly judge others, that is a sign that you don’t see very far outside your own personal opinions. What you base your ideas upon is only within a small circle which leaves a lot of ideas and people out of your scope. This in turn leads to judgement of those that don’t think like you, look like you or act like you. Judgement is the lack of wanting to understand along with being closed minded.

They are negatively stereotyping you because they are ignorant and have low self-esteem and lack self respect.

For some reason or another they feel they are above you & can make a judgment against you.  By putting you down, it lifts them but their ignorance hurts them cause they don't know any better.  Had a friend like that but cut ties cause she just failed to even try to understand.  Too many assumptions & no facts.

Some people are like that, most are not.
