Is buying a UK National Lottery ticket online just like buying one in a shop, as the winning numbers are public domain?

Of course......some lotteries retain the right to print the winning numbers and the winners names.....whether you want them to or not-
In some states in the US, you can choose to remain anonymous, or sign the Ticket as a "Corporation" ...so they have to print that name.....and not your real name, which is why you should always consult with a good tax lawyer, before cashing in any major prize or signing your ticket.
