Do you agree our children are our future, not burden, and, certainly, they should be raised in strictness and respect for elders?

Yes, they are the future. They may be a burden, but a burden well worth bearing. They should be raised in some strictness on certain points, but with a lot of freedoms also. They should be taught common courtesy, and respect for virtues, like perseverance, knowledge, and wisdom: virtues that elders often have, and can teach, due to their years of experience.

Strictness and respect for elders..to a degree.
To have basic manners and respect for adults is good, but not beyond common courtesy and especially not to those who do not show the same in return.
Our children ARE our future, so teach them well. Also teach them it's okay to think for themselves.

Noted you didn't mention also being raised with love, openness, and to be themselves. All you mention is controlling them.

Respect should mostly be earned, but the rest I agree with. They shouldn't have to respect child molestors, drug dealers, rapists, etc.
