Why did right wing media blame the Texas power outage on the green new deal when it is only at the idea stage and not an implemented policy?

There are no green new deal policies or laws in effect at the federal level, let alone in Texas.

Are they idiots or liars?

Why didn't they bring up that Texas has an isolated grid to skirt federal regulations?

There are no Green new deal anythings out there, becouse it has not passed. But there are green/renewable policies and regulations that are in place, that Obama put in place. Some of which Trump did pull back out, but not all. Plus knowing the push for green, knowing the lefts platforms on it, knowing they will, as they are now, in power and will push in that direction. Texas, like most states, has already started heading in that direction. 25% of their power comes from renewable, renewable that right off the bat, was shut down. The means when the demand was at it's highest, they were operating at a loss. That in itself could have lead to rolling brown and blackouts. Then we have the transportation issues of fuels getting to the power plants, may not have been the case if the NG infrastructure had been allowed to move forward. It was not, and just like Biden's pick stated this week, all infrastructure for fossil fuels will be stopped, no more pipelines, ever.  That will mimic on the of the issues in Texas across the country.

Largely liars, with the occasional idiot. I can't imagine that Fox will keep saying that crap, faced as they are with that 2 billion lawsuit about the Venezuelan voting booths. The folks in Minnesota are informing the public about wind turbines in the winter. Rafael Cruz is not the most influential guy right now in Texas.

Ultimately they were trying to make an example out of the very real concept that too much reliance on solar and wind could cause power outages as California has experienced at times, but it was extremely poorly timed considering the Texas outages in the end had little to do with green energy, but more so the fact that all sources of power Texas had (including coal, gas, and wind) were not winterized properly.  20% is a massive number to go offline, but it had nothing to do with the fact there wasn't wind and everything to do with the turbines purchased did not have deicing capabilities.

Green Energy only supplies 20% of Texas' power.

It is estimated that the loss of Green Energy was less than 10%

It therefore follows that the MAIN power outages were due to Fossil Fuel Plants.

Funny that the Right Wing Neo-Nazi Trump Supporters fail to pick up on that...
