    Re-draw the circuit diagram as shown below.

    Equivalent resistance Rdb

    = 1 / {[1/(1 + 5)] + (1/4) + (1/12)} Ω

    = 2 Ω

    Equivalent resistance Rcb

    = 1 / {[1/1 + 2] + (1/6) + (1/3)} Ω

    = 1.2 Ω

    Equivalent resistance Rab

    = (10 + 1.2) Ω

    = 11.2 Ω

    the 12 is//4=3Ω and the 6//3=2Ω.

    5+1=6 //3=2  +1=3//2=6/5=1.2+10=11.2Ω Rab

    Series parallels circuit. Google the equation, my pitiful HP laptop lacks a scientific keyboard. R + R over R X R. Ohms Law.
