Black hair is the most COMMON hair color worldwide. Black hair is a DOMINATE trait and less likely to blend with lighter pigments , than brown hair , in other words ,
it is more likely a baby born to a brown - blonde PAIR
to end up with light brown or dark blonde hair .
But if one parent has BLACK hair
, it is more common to see a JET BLACK haired baby
additionally Hair Color CHANGES throughout life
( obviously hair turns grey in age looses pigment )
A baby BORN with dark hair may change to having light brown on blonde hair during the first 6 months .Even then babies and
toddlers with blonde hair or red hair often develop brown hair as they age . It may darken during early childhood.. or may change more abruptly during adolescence due to hormonal changes . later in life MELANIN stops being produced and hair turns grey or white
EYE color is also based on genetics BLUE is a recessive gene and Brown is a dominate gene when BOTH parents have blue eyes they both will have a PAIR of recessive genes of blue eye color ALL of the children will have blue eyes since there is NO dominate gene present to mask the recessive gene

Hair color is not set for life. A baby born with dark hair may change to having light brown on blonde hair during the first six months. Even then, babies and toddlers with blonde or red hair often develop brown hair as they age.

It will probably end up back or brown. You won’t know when they’re born. Typically hair color changes throughout childhood before settling on a permanent color. One of my friends was born with black hair, it turned blonde as a toddler, strawberry blonde in high school and as an adult it toggles between a strawberry blonde and deep red depending on how much sun she gets. My brother had white blonde hair as a kid and as an adult it’s dark brown
