How far away should I be from my monitor?

I'm worries my 1440p 31.5-inch monitor affects how far I should be from it. Is there a certain distance I should be from it to not get eye strain or anything?

    Distance from, resolution settings, refresh rate... 

    there are all kinds of factors affecting eyestrain, 

    not just your distance from it. When I had two 

    27-inch monitors side by side, I found it most 

    comfortable (over extended stretches of time) 

    when I was between 30 and 40 inches away.

    the length of your arm is probably enough
