I don't understand how to calculate, and then, 80.5% it is?

    since survey refers to prior to graduation,

    answer is 0% for question a)

    Add up the number of White candidates .. W

    Add up the TOTAL number of candidates .. White + Minority .. T

    Then it's W/T * 100

    Total Graduates

    195+38+16+17+19+48+9+4+3+5 = 354

    White Graduates

    195+38+16+17+19 = 285

    -------------------

    % white = 285/354 * 100 = 80.5

    80.5% <––––––

    Just add up all the numbers = total number of graduates. 

    Add up the numbers under whites = white graduates. 

    Total number of whites divided by the total number of students equals the percentage of the graduating class who are whites.
