plug in the numbers to determine constants

200 = k(7) + c

150 = k(9) + c

c = 200 – 7k

c = 150 – 9k

200 – 7k = 150 – 9k

9k – 7k = 150 – 200

2k = – 50

k = –25

c = 200 – 7k

c = 200 – 7(–25)

c = 200 + 175
