Give the dog a 12 week break between each bath using a oatmeal based or some other gentle on skin & coat dog shampoo and conditioner. Ideally you'd only want to bathe them at the start of Spring and end of Summer which is generally when most dogs shed a little more and brush their coat regularly 2 or 3 times a week between then with a hound mitt or curry brush/zoom groom

actually dogs dont need to be washed everyday like human does. dogs suppose be wash once a week and dont need to go to the vet or groomer to give the dogs a bath. waste of money. if you want to wash them you can but not every day because their skins can be too dried and itchy depending on the weather and season. right now its springs so if your dogs has been stretching their shorts coats , must use only dogs shampoo products because human shampoo can cause skins rashes and cause the dogs un healthy because how the shampoo are made of. if the dogs has fleas .good use dogs fleas and ticks shampoo . always raise off very well with a warm water, can use mild heat from the hair dryer to dry off the dogs after taking a bath.never use coldwater because pits bulls are cold blood they do not like cold water and body temper gets cold quickly and shriving .and avoid the dogs eyes and dont out water and shampoo inside the ears . cause the dogs lost hearing.

My dog has never had a bath & she is about 9 yrs old. It don't do no good to bath her cause she will just go back into the yard & roll in the dirt. It does no good to bathe her.
You can bathe your dog every two months if you wish.

Like any other type of dog, pit bulls need to be groomed and bathed regularly. Because they have short fur and natural oils that protect their fur and skin, they do not need to be bathed too often. They can be bathed as often as once a month, or as infrequently as every 6 months.

With short coated breeds, really only if they roll in something obnoxious. Provided they get regular grooming and fresh bedding regular bathing shouldn't really be necessary - and especially if they get out in rainy weather! JMO
