What can you sew that people will definitely spend money on in these times?
This question is for self employed seamstresses and sewers. Not tailors.
I know that face masks are big now. Anything else?

Most people who are sewing facemasks are donating them, so that is not an earner.
I would say there will be a market for altering formal clothes when people start dressing up again and find that a year sitting on the couch (not to mention getting a sun tan from the refrigerator light) has taken its toll.

OUr business is struggling, and it's been around for 42 years. People are going to start dressing up *more* but the days of wearing suits to work every day wer over in the late 80s.
But here's an idea: since ZOOM is here to stay, at least for a while: Vests and bow ties. People want to look good for their ZOOM meetings.
I disagree with Anonymous, actually. You don't have a lot of experience, and altering ready-to-wear accurately and professionally is a job for a tailor, not a beginner.

Corn, tomatoes, okra, green beans, watermelon, and squash.

Probably pet items. People were already gaga over their pets, and more-so now.

There is NO SUCH THING as something people will definitely spend money on in ANY times.
That is an answer for EVERYONE.
