What idiot told you that? McCain lost because he was a weak wishy-washy politician on the heals of a Republican president who left the country in a mess He was also running against hugely charismatic fruition of the Black American Dream.

Mitt Romney lost because he tried to fire Big Bird, and shut down Sesame Street.

The only time McCain led Obama in the polls was right after he announced Palin as his running mate.  That's what frightened the media into an all-out campaign to discredit her.  Without Palin, McCain would have trailed the whole race; she almost saved him.

Romney lost because he let the Democrats (and the liberal media) define him.  They spent $200 million trashing him before the convention and he never recovered.

Palin didn't exactly help McCain, but she isn't the only reason he lost.  Are you basing that statement on the movie "Game Change"?  8 years of George W. Butch & the invasion of & war in Iran & a massive recession had made the group of voters in the middle who actually decide elections weary of republicans & they saw Mccain as an extension of Bush & they bought into the "hope & change" message.  As far as Romney, he was seen as an out of touch plutocrat.  During the 2012 campaign, Romney turned into a gaffe machine.  However, Romney blamed his loss on Hurricane Sandy.  That's a long story, so do a google on the effects of Sandy on the 2012 election.

His campaign was really weak. Had he tried, he would most likely have won.

Well, his binder full of women didn't help.

Also, Obama had a ~52% approval rating at the time. Romney could do everything right and still lose that election.

Mostly because Obama was doing a fine job.  Also, as governor of Massachusetts, Romney's signature achievement was a set of health insurance regulations that became the blue-print for Obamacare.  And republicans forced Romney to run against Obamacare.  Thus it became easy to paint Romney as a flip-flopper, etc.

Because he was caught on tape  8 weeks out from the election, calling 47% of American  "morons".

Matters not how right or accurate that statement actually  was.........but morons don't LIKE being called morons to their faces......and he paid the price for that comment, when the "morons"  decided to not vote for him.

Huntsman did the same thing..........Insulting Iowans, right before the primaries.

Needless to say, he came in last place.

    Hilary calling  the right   "deplorables".

Again, not that any of them were wrong.......they weren't.........but you don't insult voters right before an election.......

I mean, you'd think that would be OBVIOUS.
