A charge of 6.5 μC produces an electric field. k=8.99×10^9N⋅m2/C2.?

Does the electric field point toward or away from the charge?

Electric field points away from the charge.

Electric field points toward the charge.

What is the magnitude of the electric field 0.39 m from the charge?

    q = + 6.5 * 10^-6 C;

    Electric field points away from the charge.

    E = k q / r^2 = 8.99*10^9 * 6.5 * 10^-6 / 0,39^2 = 3,8 * 10^5 N/C.

    It points outward because the charge is positive.
