This guy harassed me, why?

This guy told me he was interested and me and that he would like to take me ot to drinks or something. I did kiss this guy, but when I didn't put out on the first date, he told all his friends I was sleeping with him and that I would go out and sleep with all his friends. I filed a police report, he told everyone in my town i was unstable on drugs had no job and slept around. I just cried. His friends that tried to sleep with me started calling me a ***** on social media and telling people that I slept with them. These were all people I liked growing up
