Depends if your licence is up to date. Is it?

Not one day unless you have a full driving licence, an insured/taxed/MOT'd car.if you have another countries full  driving licence, you need to change it for a UK driving licence within 3 months on moving house.

EU/EEA Group 2 licence still valid – Driver aged less than 65 years. Other countries 1 yr..... but check DVA website for legal information as if you have moved back you need to change it asap not only as you are British but also for cost of insurance premiums
