I don't see the point in doing so, but sure. Like the other answerer mentioned, it can be a hassle having to rejoin the network on every other device you connect each time you change the settings, especially if you have a lot of devices.

You can do whatever you want, but whenever you change the SSID and password you have to reconnect everything that uses it.
