    I think a lot of people care but they don't really know how to act on it, and that's why everything "fs up" in our faces. Also, if nothing f'd up in our faces, how would we learn enough to make new discoveries? It's cheesy, but if you learn from your mistakes, you really can make some good progress. So, to answer your question, yeah, we should have cared, and we did, but I think it's acting on the feeling of caring that's the most important. Toodles.
