In my state it's not that the tuition's cheaper it's that they can get grants those with parents working on the books cannot. When your parents don't have provable incomes it's easier to qualify as destitute and therefore more worthy of state assistance.

The answer is - they don't.

College Tuition is not based on immigration status.

Many colleges do have need-based tuition assistance - are you talking about that? Illegal immigrants might be poorer and thus get more assistance, but it's not because they're illegal.

In addition, illegal immigrants are not eligible for federal student loans, Pell grants, and other federal assistance.

 US immigration policies are  not adhered to, the US allows and encourages illegals so it has a chain affect to every other policy in the US...... where I live illegals can' t rent a property or get a job as landlords/employers face huge fines and have to have copies of their documents to prove anyone they rent to or employ are legally able to live/work in the country and they can't study without Colleges/Universities having proof of a student visa and international fees paid

Every SUBSIDY a poor person gets to go to college is paid for by another hard working person who can't afford to go to college.

Every SUBSIDY a poor 11-20 million people get for ObamaCare is paid for by other hard working people who can no longer afford to buy better insurance for their families.
