So what is your question again? If you want to look up a name of the individual then use a lookup service like Whitepages, if you want to look up a number from a person's name, use a yellow phonebook.

log onto your local library and check the enrollment books my the electoral people , name adresses and phone numbers are available . thats if your a cop anyway , if your not bad luck .

usphonebook.com is about the only free service for reverse phone look up. Does not mean their name will be in their database...

Not getting it if it a cell number that called you, because by default, all cell phone numbers are private. So unless the owner of the number had their number published in the white pages, you are out of luck.

Now if the number that called was a land-line, as long as the owner did not ask for their number to be private, you can call 411 (in the states), to get the listing with name and address.

maybe you could try talking to the phone company about it
