If he's in charge of a hospital, a university or some other business that requires STEM professionals and you are a STEM professional it might be possible. Or he could just marry you and sponsor you that way.

Work visa?  well you need a company to sponsor you.   And only if you have been accepted.  not when you are still applying for a job.

PS: usually you must be a Football or a baseball star in your country.....   LOL!

Not possible. Only immediate relatives (parent, spouse, sibling or adult child over 21) can file a petition for immigration, if they meet support requirements, etc. Companies must qualify to apply for any employment visa, including documenting search for Americans for a minimum of 6 months with no qualified Americans, plus the job must be in an occupation which is in short supply & meets requirements for some type of temporary employment visa. If "he has his own company," that business is too small to qualify to apply for any foreign workers' visas.

Right now there are still millions of Americans who have lost their jobs due to covid-related shutdowns. Many of those jobs will never come back. Others have gone to working remotely, and for such jobs there is NO need to physically bring in any foreign workers. Since Biden took office, he eliminated some 50,000 more jobs, and since he plans to legalize illegal aliens, there will be another 20 million or so legally able to work but without any jobs for them. Don't look for work in US.

He can't sponsor you unless you're a dependent (eg if you get married) for a personal visa.

He can't sponsor you for a work visa unless you and he meet the requirements - ie it's a suitably qualified position, and he demonstrably can't find anyone already in the US to do it.

    Not happening kiddo!

For you to qualify for a work visa. Your friend, as an employer, needs to prove that there is no American that can do the job. So, unless it's a highly specialised role, that is extremely unlikely.

A friend doesn't qualify as a sponsor unless you are married or a dependent

No. There are no friend visas.

For him to sponsor you for a work visa he has to be able to show he was unable to find a US citizen or US permanent resident to do the job.
